Tyler Tanner is a partner with the firm and a trial lawyer. He is board certified in Admiralty and Maritime law by the Florida Bar and practices exclusively in this arena. He is particularly skilled at handling passenger and crew claims, products liability matters, collisions, cargo claims, marine insurance, salvage, and the enforcement of maritime liens.

Mr. Tanner is also an adjunct professor of admiralty law at Florida International University College of Law, a position he finds rewarding. He also serves in leadership roles for several industry organizations, including the Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and the Florida Bar Admiralty Law Committee, that latter of which included two years as chair.

His active practice and service has led to some recognition, including regular speaking engagements and eight consecutive years as a “Rising Star” in transportation and maritime law by Super Lawyers magazine.

Mr. Tanner earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the International Moot Court Board, earned honors in the highly acclaimed Litigation Skills Program, and served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Shelby Highsmith at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
