McAlpin Tanner Marcotte Team Efficiently Negotiates Salvage Claim Involving 78-foot, Multi-million Dollar, Luxury Yacht Sinking In Deep Water

Following a mechanical breakdown, the yacht sustained damage to its rudder post, and the propeller shaft separated from the gear box.  The engine room was rapidly flooding because the bilge pumps were unable to keep up with the ingress of water.  With one engine shut down and without steering, the three men on board launched the life rafts and decided to abandon ship.

In response to a distress call, a nearby Good Samaritan vessel promptly assisted to dewater the yacht and plug the breach in the hull with wooden wedges.  The salvaged yacht was safely towed to the nearest port.  McAlpin Tanner Marcotte helped achieve a fair and swift result for the parties involved.
